Update 2:\u00a0<\/strong>Offering a bleaker picture than Billboard did Wednesday, Hits Daily Double says Rae Sremmurd’s “SremmLife” is on pace to move 30-35,000 copies in its first week. \u00a0Billboard had initially projected a total in the 45-50,000 range.<\/em><\/p>\n

Insofar as this will not be a hot sales week overall, “SremmLife” should still rank well on the sales chart. \u00a0While Taylor Swift’s “1989” will be in its own class with a weekly total in the 110-115,000 range, no other album is poised to dramatically outsell the Rae Sremmurd release.<\/em><\/p>\n

J. Cole’s “2014 Forest Hills Drive” is on track to move 35-40,000, while the “Guardians of the Galaxy” soundtrack and Nicki Minaj’s “The Pinkprint” are pacing for the same 30-35,000 tally as “SremmLife<\/em>.”<\/p>\n

Update:<\/b> Rae Sremmurd’s “SremmLife” is on track to sell between 45-50,000 copies in its first week, says Billboard. Not enough to put the album in the race for first place, the total is, however, expected to secure “SremmLife” a position in the weekly top ten.<\/em><\/p>\n

Rae Sremmurd’s debut album is finally available, and it is making an early impact on the iTunes album sales chart.<\/p>\n

Powered by singles “No Flex Zone” and “No Type,” “SremmLife” soared up the chart immediately following its late Monday night release. By midnight on the west coast, it was #2 on the chart.<\/p>\n

Only Taylor Swift’s juggernaut “1989” is currently selling at a faster rate.<\/p>\n

The highest-profile of the week’s new releases, “SremmLife” is currently the only one in the top ten on iTunes. Berner’s “20 Lights,” the next-hottest newcomer, holds the #11 spot.<\/p>\n

Insofar as iTunes only represents one piece of the album sales puzzle, it offers no surefire perspective on the Rae Sremmurd album’s likely Billboard 200 position.
