NBC’s season seven “The Voice” finale proved to be a gamechanger when it comes to Billboard’s Digital Songs (single sales) chart.<\/p>\n

Thanks to its exposure on that high-profile TV episode, Mark Ronson’s “Uptown Funk (featuring Bruno Mars),” not Taylor Swift’s “Blank Space,” claims the top spot on the chart.<\/p>\n

“Uptown Funk” moved an impressive 288,000 units this week. Fueled by a 69% sales gain, “Uptown Funk” becomes Mars’ seventh Digital Songs number one.<\/p>\n

Hozier’s “Take Me to Church,” which was also performed on “The Voice,” sees a big boost of its own. While it holds at #2 on the chart, it does so with a far more impressive sales total. It garnered 244,000 paid downloads (+21%) last week.<\/p>\n

After six weeks in the lead, Swift’s “Blank Space” falls to #3. It scored 228,000 paid downloads.<\/p>\n

Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud,” which was yet another “Voice”-boosted track, holds at #4 but does so with an improved count of 214,000.<\/p>\n
