Multiple sources confirmed Friday that CBS is eyeing another “Criminal Minds” spin-off.<\/p>\n
Hoping to find a more successful new series than previous “Criminal Minds” spin-off “Suspect Behavior, which lasted only thirteen episodes, the network is considering a new attempt for next season. An introductory episode will air as a “Criminal Minds” broadcast this spring.<\/p>\n
The planned spin-off would focus on a division of the FBI that helps “American citizens who find themselves in trouble abroad.”<\/p>\n
The pilot will be written by “Criminal Minds” head honcho Eric Messer, who will executive produce the new series with Mark Gordon and Nick Pepper. Outside of that common lineage, however, it is unclear whether any other overlap will exist between the two shows.<\/p>\n
