NBC is giving two of its standout summer series access to one of the most coveted lead-ins on television.<\/p>\n
Beginning February 23, summer drama “The Night Shift” takes over the Monday at 10PM ET slot. That slot, which helped turn “The Blacklist” into a hit and currently holds “State of Affairs,” comes following the network’s two-hour weekly “Voice” telecast.<\/p>\n
Beginning March 17, comedies “Undateable” and “One Big Happy”–not “Marry Me” and “About a Boy”–will receive lead-in support from the Tuesday edition of “The Voice.”<\/p>\n
NBC confirms that the two comedies will take over the Tuesday at 9PM hour beginning March 17. “Marry Me” and “About a Boy,” which have spent the past several weeks in the hour, will return to the air “later in the season.”<\/p>\n
“Undateable,” now with Bridgit Mendler in the cast, joins NBC’s midseason schedule after bowing as a summer series last year. Its ratings during that summer run tie as the best for a summer broadcast comedy in seven years. It was NBC’s most-watched summer comedy in ten years.<\/p>\n
Airing at 9PM ET, it will receive a direct boost from “The Voice.”<\/p>\n
“One Big Happy,” which comes from from writer Liz Feldman and executive producer Ellen DeGeneres, will air at 9:30PM ET.<\/p>\n
