One of active rock’s hottest new releases reaches the top ten this week, while two more hop into the top twenty five.<\/p>\n
Papa Roach’s “Face Everything and Rise,” which has been within the top fifty for about one month, grabs the #10 spot on this week’s edition of Mediabase’s official active rock airplay chart. Up one spot this week, it enters the top ten on the strength of the 944 spins it received during the November 30 – December 6 tracking period. The song’s week-over-week spin gain of 109 registers as the format’s third-greatest.<\/p>\n
Nickelback’s explosive “Million Miles an Hour” races into the top 25 this week. Up five places from last week’s position, it lands at #21 via a weekly spin count of 523. Embedded in that count is a week-over-week gain of 150, which ranks as the format’s second-greatest airplay increase.<\/p>\n
Also new to the top 25 this week is The Pretty Reckless’ “Follow Me Down,” which soars five places to #24 courtesy its 441 weekly spins. The track, which enjoyed the format’s fourth-greatest airplay gain (+105), is the follow-up to the band’s multi-week #1 hits “Messed Up World” and “Heaven Knows.”<\/p>\n
While neither enjoyed a comparably significant week-over-week spin gain, Linkin Park’s “Rebellion (featuring Daron Malakian)” and Young Guns’ “I Want Out” actually move past more meaningful checkpoints this week. The Linkin Park song rises four places to #13 (with 741 weekly spins), while the Young Guns song lands in the top twenty at #19. It received 580 spins during the weekly tracking period.<\/p>\n
