When it comes to the core rock radio formats, Foo Fighters’ “Something from Nothing” remains untouchable.<\/p>\n
The song again tops Mediabase’s official active rock, modern rock\/alternative and mainstream rock airplay charts.<\/p>\n
“Something” actually suffered a week-over-week spin decrease at active rock radio this week, but it had no trouble holding off Five Finger Death Punch’s #2 “Wrong Side of Heaven.” Its spin count of 2,071 during the November 23-29 tracking week bested the 1,958 garnered by the runner-up.<\/p>\n
The Foo Fighters track meanwhile repeats as alternative radio’s #1 song on the strength of 2,909 weekly spins. Hozier’s crossover “Take Me to Church” remains #2 courtesy its 2,515 weekly spins. Fall Out Boy’s “Centuries” joins the top 5 at #4 (1,868 spins).<\/p>\n
Mediabase’s small “mainstream rock” panel (the aforementioned “active rock” chart is more comparable to Billboard’s “Mainstream Rock Songs” chart) also continues to bow to “Something from Nothing.” The song leads that chart courtesy the 369 spins it received this past week. The Pretty Reckless’ former chart-topper “Heaven Knows” interestingly shoots into the mainstream rock runner-up slot this week.
