After serving as runner-up to Little Big Town’s “Day Drinking” last week, “Car” has spent the past few days as the Mediabase country panel’s most-played song. It claims #1 on Friday’s rolling chart courtesy the 7,843 spins it received during the tracked November 21-27 period.<\/p>\n
Urban’s tune should have no trouble holding its lead through the release of Mediabase’s official chart on Sunday evening.<\/p>\n
Destined for the week’s #2 position is Maddie & Tae’s debut single “Girl in a Country Song.” Played 7,455 times during the aforementioned seven day period, the track was the country format’s second-most-played song. It should claim the #2 position on Sunday’s official chart before potentially making a run for the top spot.<\/p>\n
