Update:<\/b> The deluxe edition of One Direction’s “FOUR” is twenty four hours into its release week, and it remains the leader on the iTunes album sales chart.<\/em><\/p>\n

Taylor Swift’s “1989” follows at #2, while 5 Seconds of Summer’s “Good Girls” EP holds at #3. U2’s “Songs of Innocence +” now sits at #4 and thus bests Pentatonix’ “That’s Christmas to Me” (#5), Nickelback’s “No Fixed Address” (#6) and Hans Zimmer’s “Interstellar” soundtrack (#7).<\/em><\/p>\n

“Pop Goes Punk, Vol. 6,” (#8), J Cole’s “2014 Forest Hills Drive” pre-order (#9) and the standard edition of “FOUR” (#10) close out the top ten.<\/em><\/p>\n

The album that will dethrone Taylor Swift’s “1989” from the Billboard 200–and likely score the second-best opening week sales count of 2014–is officially out.<\/p>\n

And it is officially atop the iTunes album sales chart.<\/p>\n

While its ascent to number one did not occur until several hours after release (presumably due to an iTunes glitch, as none of the new albums appeared to move immediately out of the gate), it did happen by mid-morning Monday. The deluxe edition of “FOUR” now leads Taylor Swift’s “1989” on the chart.<\/p>\n

Still a hot seller, “1989” claims the runner-up position, while 5 Seconds of Summer’s “Good Girls” EP is listed at #3. Nickelback’s “No Fixed Address” sits at #4, while Pentatonix’ “That’s Christmas to Me” is #5.<\/p>\n
