9PM CW drama “Supernatural” posted a 0.9 with 2.19 million viewers.<\/em><\/p>\n

Competition from the World Series was evidently not the sole downward force applied to the previous two “The Flash” broadcasts.<\/p>\n

Tuesday’s installment, which did not have to deal with competition from the MLB’s now-concluded championship round, did not receive an uptick in the nightly ratings.<\/p>\n

Per fast national data, this week’s episode drew a 1.4 adults 18-49 rating with 3.40 million total viewers<\/p>\n

That performance is actually slightly weaker than that of the previous, October 28 broadcast, which drew a 1.4 adults 18-49 rating with 3.53 million viewers. Even if an upward adjustment in the finals creates more parity between the viewership averages, it will doubtfully be enough to spur a significant episode-over-episode uptick<\/i> for this Tuesday’s broadcast.<\/p>\n

And insofar as that is true, the idea that ratings for “The Flash” were being deflated exclusively by World Series competition appears invalid.<\/p>\n

Of course, given that the show continues to reign as the network’s most popular show in both adults 18-49 and total viewers, there is still little room to actually complain about the show’s performance.<\/p>\n
