Update: <\/strong>While “Scandal” widened its lead over “How to Get Away with Murder” in the overnight household ratings, it did not do so in adults 18-49.<\/em><\/p>\n

It did, however, still lead.<\/em><\/p>\n

Per final broadcast data, Thursday’s “Scandal” drew a 2.9 adults 18-49 rating with 9.82 million viewers.\u00a0 Last week’s episode scored a 3.1 and 9.32 million.
\n<\/em><\/p>\n

Lead-out “How to Get Away Murder,” which ranks as Thursday’s second-most-watched drama behind “Scandal,” drew a 2.8 adults 18-49 rating with 9.18 million viewers.\u00a0 Last week’s broadcast posted a 2.7 with 8.68 million.
\n<\/em><\/p>\n

“Grey’s Anatomy” opened ABC’s night with a 2.4 and 8.08 million.<\/em><\/p>\n

While ABC’s “How to Get Away with Murder” continues to perform very admirably, it now appears to be ABC’s clear number two drama from an overnight ratings standpoint.<\/p>\n

“Scandal,” which ruled last week in the overnight households (and in adults 18-49 and total viewers), repeated as ABC’s top program Thursday.<\/p>\n

The latest installment of “Scandal” drew a 7.5 overnight household rating. Up by 0.3 from last week’s performance, the number gave the fourth-season series a comfortable lead over lead-out “HTGAWM.” ABC’s 10PM drama matched last week’s 6.7 overnight household rating.<\/p>\n

Among all broadcasts Thursday, “Scandal” ranked second behind CBS’ 8PM flagship “The Big Bang Theory” (10.5 overnight household rating).<\/p>\n

Helpful to the “Scandal” cause this week was stronger and more relevant lead-in support. After airing a Charlie Brown special last week, ABC slotted an original “Grey’s Anatomy” at 8PM this time.
