The World Series is over, which means series like “New Girl” are set to return to FOX’s weekly lineup.<\/p>\n

Set for Tuesday, November 4, the “New Girl” return comes courtesy new episode “Background Check.”<\/p>\n

Accurately signposted by its title, the episode finds Winston subject to a background check as part of his police academy training. As part of that inquiry, a police department employee (Cleo King) visits his home to interview his roommates and get a sense of his living environment.<\/p>\n

Visiting the quirky loft would always expose one to shenanigans, and the matter is made potentially more complicated–and troubling to Winston’s career–by virtue of the revelation that Jess is hiding a bag of crystal meth in her closet. Struggling to keep cool under the intensity of the interview process, the roommates must also work to keep the meth off the interviewer’s radar.<\/p>\n
