On the heels of its first appearance in the iTunes Top 10 and a continued rise at the pop and hot adult contemporary radio formats, Echosmith’s “Cool Kids” rises to a new peak on the Billboard Hot 100.<\/p>\n

The four-piece act’s breakthrough single jumps three places to #13 on Billboard’s all-encompassing chart. Whether it can reach the top ten remains to be seen, but there is certainly questioning the fit of the song–and of the band–for today’s modern music environment.<\/p>\n

“Cool Kids” is not alone in its top fifteen ascension this week. Also new to that portion of the chart is Jason DeRulo’s “Trumpets,” which climbs three places to #15.<\/p>\n
