Save for confirming that she will be releasing lyrics from each “1989” track over the next few days, Taylor Swift has been playing her promotional plans close to the vest.<\/p>\n

Swift, for instance, did not even confirm there would be one<\/i> instant gratification track from the album until last week, when she gave a five day warning about the release of “Out of the Woods.”<\/p>\n

A portion of a new “1989” song, meanwhile, appears in Swift’s Diet Coke commercial<\/a>, but Swift provided no confirmation of the song’s title.<\/p>\n

But thanks to its undying thirst for new music from the singer-songwriter, the community of Swifties is not going to rely purely on Swift’s public announcements. Its efforts might have unlocked details on the next Taylor Swift release.<\/p>\n

Early Thursday, fans noticed that the iTunes pre-order listing for “1989” now features a runtime of 3:32 for the album’s inaugural track.<\/p>\n

The importance of the runtime clue became apparent prior to the release of “Woods.” Before the song was made available for purchase and download, fans noticed that a legitimate length appeared for the album’s fourth track. Via her Twitter account, Swift applauded one user’s “spy skills” before ultimately confirming that “Out of the Woods” was indeed track #4 on “1989.”<\/p>\n

Save for track one, track four (“Out of the Woods”) and track six (“Shake it Off”) are the only other songs with a confirmed runtime. That bodes well for the notion that the first track will receive an identity–and an iTunes debut–ahead of the “1989” album’s October 27 release date.<\/p>\n
