The format’s most-played song during the September 28 – October 4 tracking period, “World on Fire” officially claimed #1 on Mediabase’s active rock airplay chart. “Messed Up World,” however, commanded the format’s largest audience for the fourth consecutive week.<\/p>\n
Neither song has a place at the top this week.<\/p>\n
According to Mediabase, Nickelback’s “Edge of a Revolution” commanded active rock’s largest spin count and its largest audience during the October 5-11 tracking week.<\/p>\n
Its weekly play count of 1,670 bests the 1,627 earned by Slash’s #2 “World on Fire” and the 1,466 earned by TPR’s #3 “Messed Up World.” Its impression count of 4.25 million tops the 4.22 million garnered by “Messed Up” and 4.10 million received by “Fire.”<\/p>\n
Other top five rock songs–based on spin count–include You Me at Six’s “Room to Breathe” (#4, 1,335) and KoRn’s “Hater” (#5, 1,267 spins).
