Already in the Top 40 at hot adult contemporary radio, Milky Chance’s international crossover “Stolen Dance” finally reaches #1 on the radio format where it made its (American) name.<\/p>\n
According to Mediabase, “Stolen Dance” leverages a weekly spin count of 2,823 to rank as alternative radio’s most-played song.<\/p>\n
“Stolen Dance” reaches the chart’s apex by leapfrogging Vance Joy’s multi-week leader “Riptide.” That song, which is also in the top forty at Hot AC, now holds #2 on the strength of 2,785 during the September 7-13 tracking period.<\/p>\n
Other top five alternative hits include Big Data’s former #1 “Dangerous (featuring Joywave)” (#3), Dirty Heads’ “My Sweet Summer” (#4) and Weezer’s “Back to the Shack” (#5). The former two songs hold at last week’s positions. The lattermost tune rises one place to make its first Top 5 appearance.<\/p>\n
