Charli XCX’s smash “Boom Clap” will therefore hold the #1 position for a third consecutive week.<\/p>\n
The recipient of 16,630 spins between September 5 and September 11, the song maintains a lead insurmountable for even the relentlessly rising “Bass.” Meghan Trainor’s breakthrough track accumulated a total of 15,136 within that same seven day window.<\/p>\n
Adding more than 300 spins to its weekly total each day, “All About That Bass,” pop’s number two song, is rising impressively. It is also doing so more rapidly than any other song at pop radio.<\/p>\n
But with only two days left in the tracking period, that explosive gain will prove insufficient for closing the gap.<\/p>\n
