The band’s fifth studio album moved 164,000 copies in its inaugural week. A decline from the 222,000 figure achieved by #2-peaking predecessor “Overexposed,” the total nonetheless bests that of 2010 release “Hands All Over” (142,000).<\/p>\n
Jeezy’s “Seen it All: The Autobiography,” which also bested initial projections, lands in second place on the strength of 121,000 weekly sales.<\/p>\n
The “Guardians of the Galaxy” “Awesome Mix: Volume 1,” follows in third with 53,000 new sales.<\/p>\n
After scoring the chart’s best sales figure of 169,000 last week, Grande’s album slips to #4 with 42,000 sales in its second week of release. Its week-to-week decline of 75% is larger than that which was initially forecast and nearly as much as that endured by predecessor “Yours Truly” last year.<\/p>\n
Fueled by a discounted offering on Google Play, Bob Marley’s greatest hits release “Legend” rises to #5 with sales of 41,000. Never before had a Marley album reached the top five.<\/p>\n
