The track garnered 312,000 paid downloads last week, which represented a gain of 17% over the prior week’s total and the song’s first weekly sum in excess of 300,000.<\/p>\n
It also gave “Bass” the edge over Taylor Swift’s “Shake it Off,” which had spent the previous two weeks in the number one position.<\/p>\n
Down to #2 this week, Swift’s single moved 281,000 copies last week. In the market for three weeks, “Shake” now claims a cumulative sales total of nearly 1.2 million.<\/p>\n
Jessie J + Ariana Grande + Nicki Minaj’s “Bang Bang” held at #3 with 170,000 sales, while Iggy Azalea’s “Black Widow (featuring Rita Ora)” (#4, 143,000) and Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda” (#5, 130,000) completed the top five.<\/p>\n
