Sunday evening, Mediabase will confirm that the album’s lead single “Maps” was the week’s #1 song on the hot adult contemporary radio format.<\/p>\n
The recipient of 6,478 Hot AC plays during the August 31-September 6 tracking period, the Maroon 5 tune dethrones Sam Smith’s multi-week #1 “Stay With Me” on the chart. Smith’s song received 6,261 plays across the aforementioned seven days.<\/p>\n
“Stay With Me” did, however, reach a larger audience. The song’s weekly impression count of 42.02 million bests the 40.47 million earned by “Maps.”<\/p>\n
