The latest round of Mediabase audience Callout Research is available, and it provides a very flattering portrait of Mr Probz’ “Waves.”<\/p>\n
“Waves,” which is finally beginning to make a run on the pop radio airplay chart, received the highest positive score (69.8%), the lowest negative score (11.7%)–and thus the highest net positive score(58.1%)–in the 9\/5 National Callout report.<\/p>\n
Because its familiarity level is a relatively low 63.8%, there is still an opportunity for “Waves” to trend downward on the Callout system. But the hot start certainly speaks favorably–and optimistically–about its resonance with listeners.<\/p>\n
Also new to the report this week is Taylor Swift’s “Shake it Off,” which boasts the report’s 12th-best positive score (61.5%), 8th-lowest negative score (21.1%) and 8th-best net positive score (40.4%).<\/p>\n
Since “Shake it Off” already carries a familiarity level of 83.2% (the eleventh-largest), the song’s favorable reception–61.5% positive, 21.1% negative and 40.4% net positive–comes with a decent degree of certainty.<\/p>\n
