In less than three weeks, regular season NFL action will return to NBC’s Sunday night lineup.<\/p>\n
In advance of that September 7 “Sunday Night Football” broadcast, NBC confirmed details on the newest edition of its “Waiting All Day for Sunday Night” video.<\/p>\n
Once again starring Carrie Underwood, the new video will feature contributions from eleven active NFL players. According to NBC, those players are Jimmy Graham, Colin Kaepernick, Luke Kuechly, Eli Manning, Peyton Manning, Brandon Marshall, Clay Matthews, LeSean McCoy, Philip Rivers, DeMarcus Ware and Russell Wilson.<\/p>\n
The press release for the new video features comments from some of the featured NFL players:<\/p>\n
Philip Rivers (on “Sunday Night Football”): \u201cIt\u2019s great to be a part of it, it really is. My children are all old enough now, and we all sit and watch it every week.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n Brandon Marshall: \u201cI\u2019ve been waiting nine years to do this. It took you guys nine years, to give me a call, to finally do the open.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n LeSean McCoy: \u201cThey might want me to replace Carrie Underwood\u2026out of all the players, I\u2019m definitely the best singer.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n Clay Matthews: \u201cThis year they\u2019ve got me stage diving and crowd surfing.
