While its ratings are nothing about which to write home on paper<\/a>, they are evidently enough to warrant continued interest from Sundance.<\/p>\n

The network officially decided to renew critically acclaimed, but low-rated “Rectify” for a third season.<\/p>\n

\u201cRectify has evolved into a show much loved by critics and fans,\u201d said SundanceTV’s Sarah Barnett. \u201cAs SundanceTV\u2019s first scripted series, it\u2019s gratifying to see such distinctive and unusual storytelling embraced with such passion.\u201d<\/p>\n

While no episode count has been revealed, Deadline says the order is reportedly for six episodes. Even with the order for the show’s first season, the count trails that of the show’s current second season by four.<\/p>\n
