Taylor Swift announced on Wednesday&#8217;s &#8220;The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon&#8221; that she will perform at the August 24 MTV Video Music Awards.<\/p>\n<p>Industry sources had already said Swift agreed to perform at the show, but neither MTV nor Swift had officially commented on the matter until Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Swift changed that Wednesday, when she told &#8220;Tonight Show&#8221; host Jimmy Fallon that she will be performing at the annual MTV music video awards show.<\/p>\n<p>Open about the fact that she will perform, Swift was nonetheless tight-lipped about what the performance will entail.  All indications, however, are that she will perform the new single that is expected to bow during Monday&#8217;s Yahoo!
