Virtually every celebrity caught in such a situation declares that what the audience saw was out of context.<\/p>\n

Rixton frontman Jake Roche is not one of those celebrities.<\/p>\n

In a Tweet following Sunday’s Teen Choice Awards broadcast, Roche confirmed he was indeed mouthing “wow” when presenter Lea Michele hit the stage in a very leggy dress.<\/p>\n

“Yes I really did mutter the words ‘wow’ on camera when @msleamichele walked out,” Tweeted Roche.<\/p>\n

He also thanked fans for Tweeting positive remarks about his band’s performance. The UK foursome performed a medley of “Wait on Me” and “Me and My Broken Heart” during the FOX awards show broadcast.<\/p>\n
