Sam Smith’s breakthrough solo effort “Stay With Me” is now only one spot away from the top of Billboard’s Hot 100.<\/p>\n

After a stint in the #3 position, the ballad reaches #2 on the latest edition of Billboard’s all-encompassing single track chart.<\/p>\n

According to Billboard, it now trails MAGIC!’s reigning Hot 100 champion “Rude” by just 9 chart percentage points. If it continues to gain as “Rude” continues to slow, it could steal away the number one position in just one or two weeks.<\/p>\n

The rise of “Stay with Me” continues the fall of Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy (featuring Charli XCX).” That song dips to #3 on this week’s Hot 100.<\/p>\n

Nico and Vinz’ “Am I Wrong” and Ariana Grande’s “Problem (featuring Iggy Azalea)” remain in the #4 and #5 positions, respectively.<\/p>\n

Grande’s “Bang Bang” collaboration with Jessie J and Nicki Minaj debuts at #6 this week<\/a>. Maroon 5’s “Maps” follows at #7, while Meghan Trainor’s “All About That Bass” rockets into the #8 spot.<\/p>\n
