Sia’s “Chandelier” and Meghan Trainor’s “All About That Bass” are making waves on yet another music industry chart.<\/p>\n
The latest to play host to their upward movement is Mediabase’s official Hot Adult Contemporary airplay chart, which welcomes the two songs to its top 40 this week.<\/p>\n
Spun 464 times over the seven days ending August 2, “Chandelier” jumps nine places to #37 on the chart. Trainor’s “Bass” leverages 391 Hot AC spins to reach #39. It was #50 on last week’s chart.<\/p>\n
The two songs, which hit respective peaks of #9 and #28 on this week’s Billboard Hot 100, are also making major waves at pop radio. “Chandelier” is #14 on the pop format, while “All About That Bass” is up to #24. Both are among the format’s top ten airplay gainers.<\/p>\n
Other new\/returning Top 40 entries at Hot AC radio include Colbie Caillat’s “Try” (#33, +8), Christina Perri’s “Burning Gold” (#38, +4) and Better Than Ezra’s “Crazy Lucky” (#40, +1).<\/p>\n
