Consistent with early forecasts, the sum blows away that achieved by any other release.

The “Frozen” soundtrack, which Hits says landed in second place, moved approximately 35,991 weekly copies. Weird Al Yankovic’s “Mandatory Fun” and Sam Smith’s “In the Lonely Hour” followed with tentative sums of 32,613 and 31,146, respectively.

Common’s “Nobody’s Smiling” and Crown the Empire’s “The Resistance: Rise of the Runaways,” which debuted alongside the 5SOS album last week, scored estimated sales tallies of 23,118 and 18,727, respectively. Both are expected to land in the top ten of Billboard’s 200 chart.

Anberlin’s “Lowborn” debuted in the Top 20 with approximately 13,645 sales, while La Roux’s “Trouble in Paradise” presumably went Top 30 with 9,866.

[183,1047
1810,2604,2607,2608,2605

5 Seconds of Summer Wins Album Sales Race with ~259K

{"@context":"https://schema.org","@graph":[{"@type":"WebPage","@id":"https://headlineplanet.com/home/2014/07/29/5-seconds-summer-wins-album-sales-race-253k/","url":"https://headlineplanet.com/home/2014/07/29/5-seconds-summer-wins-album-sales-race-253k/","name":"5 Seconds of Summer Wins Album Sales Race with ~259K","isPartOf":{"@id":"https://headlineplanet.com/home/#website"},"datePublished":"2014-07-29T21:09:25+00:00","dateModified":"2014-07-30T15:56:32+00:00","author":{"@id":"https://headlineplanet.com/home/#/schema/person/b530255b81ceb7463ea060a9b8a302c8"},"description":"Update: Billboard's official weekly sales report is available, and it reveals the 5 Seconds of Summer album debuted at #1 with sales of 259,000. ========","inLanguage":"en-US","potentialAction":[{"@type":"ReadAction","target":["https://headlineplanet.com/home/2014/07/29/5-seconds-summer-wins-album-sales-race-253k/"]}]},{"@type":"WebSite","@id":"https://headlineplanet.com/home/#website","url":"https://headlineplanet.com/home/","name":"Headline Planet","description":"Music News & Charts, TV News & Spoilers","potentialAction":[{"@type":"SearchAction","target":{"@type":"EntryPoint","urlTemplate":"https://headlineplanet.com/home/?s={search_term_string}"},"query-input":"required name=search_term_string"}],"inLanguage":"en-US"},{"@type":"Person","@id":"https://headlineplanet.com/home/#/schema/person/b530255b81ceb7463ea060a9b8a302c8","name":"Brian Cantor","image":{"@type":"ImageObject","inLanguage":"en-US","@id":"https://headlineplanet.com/home/#/schema/person/image/","url":"https://secure.gravatar.com/avatar/5726265e0532f231e46bbddd41009383?s=96&d=mm&r=g","contentUrl":"https://secure.gravatar.com/avatar/5726265e0532f231e46bbddd41009383?s=96&d=mm&r=g","caption":"Brian Cantor"},"description":"Brian Cantor is the editor-in-chief for Headline Planet.
