While its splash was not as significant as that made by Florida Georgia Line’s “Dirt,” Jason Aldean’s “Burnin’ it Down” still got off to a very impressive start on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart.<\/p>\n
According to Billboard, the latest Aldean tune, which is still #1 on iTunes, scored the country radio format’s 19th-largest audience during its debut week. It, obviously, ranked as the week’s strongest newcomer.<\/p>\n
Earlier this month, Florida Georgia Line’s new single “Dirt” debuted at #16 on the airplay chart following its first week of availability.<\/p>\n
In addition to debuting well on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart, “Burnin’ it Down” also got off to a strong start on Mediabase’s country chart. It was the week’s 27th-most-played song on the country stations monitored by Mediabase.<\/p>\n
Attention will now turn to the song’s appearances on the upcoming Billboard Hot Digital Songs, Hot Country Songs and Hot 100 charts. Considering it has not left the #1 spot since first ascending the iTunes single sales chart last Tuesday, it should have no problem scoring a #1 debut on Digital Songs.<\/p>\n
