It was a good day to be an alternative\/reality series at NBC.<\/p>\n
The Peacock announced Sunday that alternative series “America’s Got Talent,” “American Ninja Warrior” and “Last Comic Standing” have each received an additional season.<\/p>\n
For “Got Talent,” the renewal confirms a tenth season. “American Ninja Warrior,” which airs in partnership with Esquire Network, will receive a fourth season, while “Last Comic Standing'”s order is for a ninth.<\/p>\n
NBC, which touted the “prolific work being accomplished in the network\u2019s alternative division,” attributes its summer ratings dominance to the aforementioned three series. Save for two weeks when ABC featured coverage of the NBC finals, NBC has ranked number one among the major broadcast networks every week this summer in adults 18-49.<\/p>\n
