It is official: Ariana Grande’s “Problem” is pop radio’s most-played track.<\/p>\n

The blockbuster song, which features a rap verse from Iggy Azalea, has officially edged Azalea’s own “Fancy (featuring Charli XCX)” to become the #1 song on Mediabase’s rolling airplay chart.<\/p>\n

Spun 16,792 times over the seven day period ending June 26, “Problem” garnered 115.07 million audience impressions via the pop format.<\/p>\n

Still one of pop radio’s biggest gainers, its weekly spin count exceeds that of the previous week by 1,192.<\/p>\n

“Fancy,” which is losing steam at radio, received 16,686 spins over the measured period. It earned 112.11 million impressions.<\/p>\n

— Shakira’s rapidly declining “Empire” officially slips out of the Top 40. Now occupying the slot is Echosmith’s “Cool Kids,” which rises to #40 on the strength of 920 pop radio spins.<\/p>\n

Hot on its heels (and rising faster), Florida Georgia Line’s #41 “This is How We Roll (remix featuring Jason DeRulo)” will likely leapfrog “Cool Kids” this weekend.<\/p>\n

But as Neon Trees’ declining “Sleeping with a Friend,” HAIM’s declining “Forever” and 5 Seconds of Summer’s declining “She Looks So Perfect” all begin to slip out of the Top 40, the Echosmith tune will receive a quick opportunity to bounce back into that illustrious portion of the chart.<\/p>\n
