Time will tell if MKTO’s breakthrough single becomes a “Classic,” but it is now officially a top ten song at pop radio.<\/p>\n
According to Mediabase’s rolling airplay chart, the duo’s breakthrough rap-sung release was Top 40 radio’s tenth-most-played song over the seven days ending June 24. It swapped places with John Legend’s sinking “All of Me” to make that official entry into the top ten.<\/p>\n
The song garnered 49.13 million impressions over that seven day period. Responsible for 1.85 million of those listens, DC’s Hot 99.5 made the largest contribution to that overall impression count.<\/p>\n
A mainstay on the charts for several months, “Classic” does not possess the upward mobility needed to challenge for a top five position at radio.
