Update:<\/b> Aided immensely by the film’s successful box office debut, Charli XCX’s song from the soundtrack to “The Fault in Our Stars” has continued its ascent on iTunes.<\/p>\n

As of press time, “Boom Clap,” that song, had reached #10 on the digital retailer’s overall single sales chart.<\/em>

There might be “Fault in Our Stars,” but they have certainly aligned for Charli XCX’s new single “Boom Clap.”<\/p>\n

Thanks to boosts from the singer-songwriter’s appearance on Iggy Azalea’s blockbuster #1 single “Fancy,” the release of the song’s music video and its inclusion in the latest commercial for “The Fault in Our Stars,” the track has ascended into prime position on the iTunes Single Sales Chart.<\/p>\n

The song, which was not even in the top 100 on iTunes last week, had rocketed to #29 by press time.<\/p>\n

A cut from the buzzworthy “The Fault in Our Stars” soundtrack, “Boom Clap” will reign as Charli XCX’s most successful solo release in the US.<\/p>\n

While she charted as a featured performer and co-writer on Icona Pop’s international smash (and #7 Hot 100 hit) “I Love It” and on Iggy Azalea’s current number one “Fancy,” Charli XCX has never before gained commercial traction for one of her own releases.<\/p>\n

She has, however, cultivated a passionate fanbase and recognition within industry circles.<\/p>\n

The newly released “Boom Clap” video, which is nearing 300,000 total views, follows:<\/p>\n
