The weekly Hot 100 chart provides the year’s two biggest breakout stars with reasons to celebrate.<\/p>\n
For Sam Smith, the chart lists a new peak for his powerhouse ballad “Stay With Me.” The song, which appears destined for a run into the top ten, lifts to number nineteen on this week’s edition of the Billboard Hot 100.<\/p>\n
Credited as a featured performer on the track, Smith can also celebrate a new peak for Disclosure’s “Latch.” The song elevates seven places to #22 on this week’s chart.<\/p>\n
Naughty Boy’s “La La La,” which also features Smith on vocals, is #29.<\/p>\n
Iggy Azalea, the year’s other big breakout artist, is making waves throughout the chart. In addition to remaining at number one via her single “Fancy (featuring Charli XCX)” and number two via her featured work on Ariana Grande’s “Problem,” Azalea also claims the #54 spot.<\/p>\n
She does so with “Work,” an early career track that helped Azalea gain notoriety in the industry. Notable for its video, in which Azalea performs a lap dance, the song has been gaining traction on iTunes as “Fancy” fans explore Azalea’s other work.<\/p>\n
The ascent to a #54 peak is one of nine places.<\/p>\n
