After developing a presence on several important music charts, Tove Lo’s breakthrough “Habits (Stay High)” finally arrives on the most significant of all.<\/p>\n
The alternative crossover attempt, which is on the verge of an official impact at Top 40 radio, debuts at #66 on this week’s Billboard Hot 100.<\/p>\n
Represented on the iTunes Single Sales chart by both Hippie Sabotage’s reversal remix (#77) and the original Tove Lo version (#177), “Habits” has spent the past several weeks making waves on the alternative airplay chart. As of press time, it was the format’s eighteenth-most-played song.<\/p>\n
Excited about the song’s crossover potential, several pop radio stations, including Los Angeles’ influential KIIS, added it to their playlists in advance of the song’s official Top 40 impact date.<\/p>\n
A recently released remix by The Chainsmokers also fueled excitement in the Swedish singer-songwriter’s track.<\/p>\n
