In ascending on this week’s Billboard Hot 100 chart, Iggy Azalea matches a feat only previously achieved by The Beatles.<\/p>\n
According to Billboard, Azalea’s “Fancy (featuring Charli XCX)” reaches #1 on this week’s definitive single track chart. Ariana Grande’s “Problem,” on which Azalea is credited as a featured act, hits #2.<\/p>\n
Not since The Beatles has an artist held the number one and number two positions with her first two songs on the chart.<\/p>\n
The iconic foursome achieved that feat when its “I Want to Hold Your Hand” and “She Loves You” held the chart’s top two spots in 1964.<\/p>\n
Azalea, meanwhile, is the fifteenth artist to achieve that feat with any two tracks and one of only three females to do so. Mariah Carey and Ashanti are the other two.<\/p>\n
Azalea, Charli XCX and Grande were not, however, the only acts to enjoy gains on the Billboard Hot 100.<\/p>\n
Buzzworthy Norwegian duo Nico & Vinz ascends into the Top 10 with their smash “Am I Wrong.” The track, which was number seventeen last week, vaults to #8 this week.<\/p>\n
Jason DeRulo, meanwhile, arrives in the top ten (at #10) with his latest single “Wiggle (featuring Snoop Dogg).”<\/p>\n
