The most aggressively portions of Sunday’s Billboard Music Awards were unsurprisingly the ceremony’s highest-rated.<\/p>\n
Per Nielsen Fast National Data, the show drew its highest adults 18-49 ratings in the 9-9:30PM and 10-10:30PM half hours. The former featured the Michael Jackson hologram performance, while the latter featured “Something Bad,” the heavily hyped duet between Carrie Underwood and Miranda Lambert.<\/p>\n
Other performances in the 9PM half-hour, which drew a 3.8 adults 18-49 rating with 11.48 million viewers, were Katy Perry’s overseas rendition of “Birthday” and Imagine Dragons’ “Tiptoe.”<\/p>\n
The 10PM half-hour, which drew a 3.8 with 10.70 million, also featured Jason DeRulo’s medley and the beginning of Miley Cyrus’ Beatles cover.<\/p>\n
While its 3.7 rating trailed that of the 10PM portion, the 9:30PM portion drew a stronger viewership average of 10.97 million.<\/p>\n
Performances in that segment included Ricky Martin’s “Vida,” Luke Bryan’s “Play it Again” and Lorde’s “Tennis Court.”<\/p>\n
