In conjunction with lead single “(If You’re Wondering if I Want You To) I Want You To” reaching public ears, speculation began that Weezer’s next album, due October 7, would be another in their ongoing self-titled series. The band has released three such albums so far–1994’s Blue Album, 2001’s Green Album and 2008’s Red Album.<\/p>\n

The new album will not, however, be the orange album, the teal album or the purple album. Rather, it will be “Raditude,” based on a suggestion by “The Office” star Rainn Wilson.<\/p>\n

“[Wilson] has a super-rock persona,” Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo told Billboard. “When it came time to find a title for the Weezer album, I asked him what he thought the ultimate album title would be and he said ‘Raditude.'”<\/p>\n

A full tracklisting for the album has not been determined, but set to make the cut are “I Want You To,” “I’m Your Daddy,” “The Girl Got Hot,” “Can’t Stop Partying” and “Trippin’ Down The Freeway.”<\/p>\n

The album follows last year’s slow-selling “Weezer (Red Album),” of which 443,000 copies have been moved. Though it is Weezer’s worst-selling release, it spawned hits in “Pork and Beans,” the band’s best-performing modern rock single, and “Troublemaker.”<\/p>\n
