Debuting in the UFC, Rothwell made a name for himself in the IFL before moving to the Affliction promotion.  When Affliction folded earlier this summer, Rothwell was picked up by the UFC.<\/p>\n<p>Velasquez had been slated to face Carwin in a number one contender&#8217;s bout at UFC 104, but the promotion instead decided to grant Carwin an immediate shot at Lesnar&#8217;s title.<\/p>\n<p>&#8212; MMA Junkie reports that UFC is looking at booking Thiago Alves, who lost a decision to Welterweight Champion Georges St. Pierre at UFC 100, against Paulo Thiago at UFC 107.
