Update 2:<\/b> Not adjusted upward in the finals, Thursday’s edition of “The Vampire Diaries” settled for its worst performance to date.<\/p>\n

Thursday’s episode garnered a mere 0.7 adults 18-49 rating with 1.50 million viewers. It officially steals the “series low” label from the 4\/17 episode, which drew the same 0.7 rating but a viewership average of 1.66 million.<\/p>\n

“Reign,” which led out of “TVD,” matched last week’s 0.5 adults 18-49 rating. Its viewership tally slipped to 1.34 million.
\n==<\/p>\n

Update:<\/b> Consistent with its performance in the overnights, The CW’s “Reign” held steady in the fast national ratings.<\/p>\n

Thursday’s episode drew a 0.5 adults 18-49 rating with 1.47 million. Even with last week’s rating in the demo, “Reign” was actually up slightly (from 1.40 million) in total viewers.<\/p>\n

Earlier in the night, “The Vampire Diaries” posted a 0.7 adults 18-49 rating with 1.60 million viewers. While that rating trails the 0.8 posted in last week’s Final Nielsen report, it is even with the 0.7 last week’s “TVD” delivered in the Nielsen Fast Nationals.<\/p>\n

Viewership, however, trailed that posted in both of last week’s reports.<\/em>

Stability was the name of the game for The CW’s Thursday combination of “The Vampire Diaries” and “Reign.”<\/p>\n

Both dramas, which have already been renewed for next season, matched their previous overnight household ratings. Thursday’s new “The Vampire Diaries” drew a 1.3 overnight rating, while “Reign” settled for a 1.1.<\/p>\n

While those represent series low overnight metered market performances, last week’s numbers did not translate into series lows in adults 18-49. Last Thursday’s “The Vampire Diaries” drew a 0.8 adults 18-49 rating, while “Reign” drew a 0.5.<\/p>\n
