Currently forming new programming “Habits,” alternative radio stations are finding it difficult to say no to the breakthrough single from Tove Lo.<\/p>\n
Picked up at six stations this week, including the influential KROQ, the singer-songwriter’s buzzworthy “Habits (Stay High)” ranked as the alternative format’s fourth-most-added track.<\/p>\n
The new pickups should help the song, which is already one of the genre’s fastest rising new tracks, accelerate its surge up the airplay chart.<\/p>\n
According to Mediabase, “Habits (Stay High)” was alternative radio’s 43rd-most-played song over the past seven days. Its sizable weekly audience of 1.56 million was the 26th-largest within the genre.<\/p>\n
The song is also experiencing success on iTunes. At press time, the original version was #200 on iTunes, while Hippie Sabotage’s “Stay High (Habits)” remix was #71.<\/p>\n

— Arctic Monkeys’ “Why’d You Only Call Me When You’re High” (2nd-most-added with 9 pickups, #12 for airplay), Foster the People’s “Best Friend” (3rd-most-added with 8 pickups, #23 for airplay), Vance Joy’s “Riptide” (4th-most-added with 6 pickups, #36 for airplay), Big Data’s “Dangerous (featuring Joywave)” (6th-most-added with 5 pickups, #18 for airplay) and J. Roddy Walston and the Business’ “Take it as it Comes” (6th-most-added with 5 pickups, #40 for airplay) also had strong weeks.<\/p>\n
