Update 2:<\/b> Thanks to an upward adjustment in the overnights, “Glee” can celebrate the fact that it did not set a new series low Tuesday night.<\/p>\n

It did, however, once again match its existing low.<\/p>\n

Almost precisely on par with last week’s 0.9 adults 18-49 rating and 2.45 million viewers, this week’s episode posted a 0.9 with 2.41 million.<\/p>\n

“New Girl” also adjusted up, settled for a final 1.1 adults 18-49 rating with 2.20 million viewers. “The Mindy Project” delivered a 1.1 with the same 2.20 million.<\/p>\n

Update:<\/b> The overnights were not misleading. FOX’s “Glee” indeed slipped to a new series low in the adults 18-49 demographic Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Tuesday’s episode delivered a 0.8 adults 18-49 rating with just 2.35 million viewers. While the viewership count narrowly bested the 2.30 million mark delivered by the “City of Angels” episode on March 11, the demographic number is the lowest ever delivered by the show. The previous low, set by multiple season five installments, was a 0.9.<\/p>\n

Consistent with the show’s recent trend, the episode lost viewers at the midway point. After delivering a 0.9 rating with 2.48 million viewers from 8-8:30PM, it slipped to a 0.8 with 2.22 million from 8:30-9PM.<\/p>\n

In posting a 1.0 adults 18-49 rating with 2.16 million viewers, 9PM comedy “New Girl” also set a new series low. “The Mindy Project” followed with a 1.1 and 2.16 million.<\/em>

After weeks of steadiness at a series low level, “Glee” finally sank to a new low in the overnight metered market ratings.<\/p>\n

“Back-Up Plan,” Tuesday’s edition of “Glee,” slipped to a 1.9 overnight household rating. It was down a tenth from its previous low mark of 2.0.<\/p>\n

There is no guarantee the episode’s adults 18-49 rating and total viewership numbers will also reach series lows, but there is now evidence that the show is not perking up as its finish line approaches.<\/p>\n
