A week removed from the episode penned by star Chris Colfer and two weeks removed from the season five finale, this week’s “Back-Up Plan” edition of “Glee” is certainly not the most anticipated of the year’s remaining episodes.<\/p>\n
The episode is not, however, without its hooks.<\/p>\n
It will feature Rachel (Lea Michele), in the aftermath of her successful Broadway debut, considering the jump into television.<\/p>\n
It will feature Mercedes (Amber Riley) attempting to loop Santana (Naya Rivera) into her recording contract.<\/p>\n
And it will feature the debut of Shirley MacLaine as a socialite ally for Blaine (Darren Criss).<\/p>\n
“Rachel jeopardizes her \u201cFunny Girl\u201d lead when she auditions for a television pilot. Meanwhile, Mercedes (guest star Amber Riley) tries to help get Santana in on her recording deal, and Blaine befriends an older, rich socialite (guest star Shirley MacLaine) in the all-new \u201cBack-Up Plan\u201d episode of GLEE airing Tuesday, April 29 (8:00-9:00 PM ET\/PT),” says FOX of the episode.<\/p>\n
