Despite receiving support from an original “The Vampire Diaries” this week, “Reign” matched last week’s series low 0.4 adults 18-49 rating. The episode attracted 1.39 million viewers.<\/p>\n

Granted, its “Vampire Diaries” lead-in support was nothing about which to write home. Returning from a brief hiatus, “TVD” delivered a series low 0.7 adults 18-49 rating with 1.66 million viewers Thursday.<\/em>

Without assistance from an original episode of “The Vampire Diaries,” last week’s edition of The CW’s “Reign” tied a series low in the overnight metered market ratings and posted a new low in adults 18-49.<\/p>\n

With its lead-in back in the mix this week, “Reign” predictably enjoyed an uptick in its overnight household number.<\/p>\n

That uptick was not, however, a significant one.<\/p>\n

After delivering a 1.1 overnight number last week, this week’s episode posted a 1.2 overnight household number. While it is unclear whether the increase was similarly slight in its adults 18-49 rating and total viewership number (granted, it is also unclear whether there was an increase at all in those columns), it seems reasonable to conclude that “Reign” did not enjoy a bona fide ratings surge Thursday.<\/p>\n

Granted, it is not as if it received monstrous lead-in support from The CW’s flagship drama.<\/p>\n

“The Vampire Diaries,” which had been providing lead-in support in the mid-to-high 1s for the duration of the season, only mustered a 1.4 overnight household number Thursday night.
