Neither “The Originals” nor “Supernatural” began its final stretch of the television season with a bang.<\/p>\n
Returning for their first original episodes in four weeks and three weeks, respectively, The CW’s Tuesday dramas delivered their weakest performances of the season.<\/p>\n
The former, which quickly solidified itself as the most successful of the network’s 2013-14 launches, matched its series low 0.7 adults 18-49 and posted a new low viewership mark of 1.52 million. The previous original, which aired on March 18, scored a slightly stronger 0.7 rating with 1.53 million viewers.<\/p>\n
The hit for The CW’s “Supernatural” was far more considerable. After culminating its March run with a 1.0 rating and 2.25 million viewers, the veteran returned for a 0.7 rating with 1.60 million viewers. Both represented season lows.<\/p>\n
