ACM Awards watchers–and iTunes shoppers–might have been lukewarm on Brad Paisley’s “River Bank,” but radio programmers are definitely excited to give the song a chance.<\/p>\n
“River Bank,” the first song off Paisley’s upcoming new album, was country radio’s most-added song this week (and its 40th-most-played tune).<\/p>\n
Added by at least seventy stations according to an early report by Mediabase, “River Bank” convincingly distanced itself from the rest of the genre’s pack. Love & Theft’s “Night You’ll Never Forget,” the week’s next-strongest addition, earned 40 new adds.<\/p>\n
Lee Brice’s “I Don’t Dance” (18), Dustin Lynch’s “Where It’s At” and Blake Shelton’s “My Eyes (featuring Gwen Sebastian)” (16) round out the weekly top five at country radio.<\/p>\n
While not in the top five, the “Nashville” soundtrack song “He Ain’t Gonna Change,” performed by Connie Britton and Hayden Panettiere, had a strong week with twelve station adds.
