Update:<\/b> As the overnights suggested, Monday’s edition of The CW’s “Star-Crossed” did reach an expanded audience.<\/p>\n

It did not, however, grow in the coveted adults 18-49 demographic.<\/p>\n

The episode matched last week’s 0.3 in the demo. Viewership, however, climbed back to the 1.00 million mark.<\/p>\n

The time period premiere of “The Tomorrow People,” which followed, posted a 0.4 with 1.17 million viewers.<\/p>\n

Unremarkable by its own standards (the previous “Tomorrow People” original, which aired on Wednesday, March 5, posted a 0.4 with 1.24 million), the episode led The CW to gains in the timeslot.<\/p>\n

According to the network, the episode’s totals in viewership (1.17 million), males 18-34 (0.4), males 18-49 (0.5) and teens (0.5) were the best since the “Gossip Girl” finale aired on December 17, 2012.<\/em>
\n========<\/p>\n

Overnight ratings for The CW’s new drama “Star-Crossed” appear to have settled into a consistent groove, but that does not mean they are exempt from slightly weekly oscillation.<\/p>\n

After slipping to a 0.8 overnight household number last week, this week’s episode rose back to a 0.9.<\/p>\n

While that increase will not necessarily manifest in the more pivotal adults 18-49 and total viewership counts, it does indicate that “Star-Crossed” remained reasonably steady in the face of newfound competition from “Dancing with the Stars.”<\/p>\n

Fellow freshman drama “The Tomorrow People,” which replaced “Beauty and the Beast” in the 9PM timeslot, followed with a 0.8. While up from the 0.7 posted by the previous “Beast” telecast, the soft number does not represent an ideal showing for a series still hoping for a season two renewal.<\/p>\n
