Update:<\/b> The uptick in the overnight metered market ratings evidently did not translate to the adults 18-49 rating.<\/p>\n

According to Nielsen’s fast national data, Thursday’s “Scandal” dipped slightly to a 2.7 adults 18-49 rating with 8.1 million viewers. The slight declines in both marks come despite promotion for the episode’s “OMG” cliffhanger.<\/p>\n

Earlier in the night, “Once Upon a Time in Wonderland” posted a 0.8 with 3.1 million viewers. “Grey’s Anatomy” underwhelmed with a 2.3 and 7.1 million.<\/em>
\n============<\/p>\n

Unable to create the excitement that surrounded its midseason premiere, the tease of an “OMG moment” nonetheless helped “Scandal” grow slightly in the overnight metered market ratings.<\/p>\n

Up a tenth from last week’s comparable overnight number, Thursday’s “Scandal” posted a 6.2 household rating.<\/p>\n

Whether the show enjoyed a corresponding increase in adults 18-49 will be revealed at 11:30AM, but already certain is the fact that “Scandal” outdelivered timeslot competition from CBS’ “Elementary” and NBC’s “Parenthood.”<\/p>\n

Thursday’s “Scandal,” which ended on a cliffhanger, featured Jake gunning down the two women who were helping David Rosen leak the story about Vice President Langston’s foray into murder. Jake then pulled the trigger a third time to shoot Rosen, James Novak or an unseen character in the distance. The episode ended before viewers learned whom he shot.<\/p>\n
