Though steep (19%) in the fast nationals, the decline was not enough to rob “Boy” of a first place finish.<\/p>\n
Thanks to its 2.1 adults 18-49 rating with 7.89 million viewers, “About a Boy” reigned supreme over timeslot competitors “The Goldbergs” (ABC, 1.5, 4.34 million) and “New Girl” (FOX, 1.3, 2.44 million). CBS’ and The CW’s respective re-runs of “NCIS: LA” and “Supernatural” also fell short of the new comedy’s mark.<\/p>\n
Detrimental to the series’ cause was a weaker performance from lead-in “The Voice.” After posting a 4.0 with 14.38 million viewers in last week’s fast nationals, this Tuesday’s edition, now subject to the potential impact of Daylight Savings Time, settled for a 3.4 with 13.15 million.<\/p>\n
