Update:<\/b> Another week, another disappointing dose of ratings news for FOX’s “Glee.”<\/p>\n

Despite featuring a Cory Monteith tribute and the “Nationals” competition, Tuesday’s episode sank to a 0.9 adults 18-49 rating with just 2.3 million viewers.<\/p>\n

The 0.9 ties the series low set by this season’s “Puppet Master,” which aired on Thanksgiving. The viewership average of 2.34 million represents a new series low.<\/p>\n

Collectively, the figures confirm that this was the worst-rated “Glee” of all-time.<\/p>\n

FOX followed “Glee” with “New Girl” (1.3, 2.44 million) and “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” (1.2, 2.46 million).<\/p>\n

Despite the poor ratings, all three series will be back next season.<\/em>
\n==============<\/p>\n

On the one hand, it featured attractions like a tribute to the late Cory Monteith and the once-pivotal “Nationals” competition.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, its buzz and promotional effort paled in comparison to that being reserved for next week’s 100th episode celebration.<\/p>\n

The latter hand proved to be the dominant one. Unable to benefit from the aforementioned advantages, Tuesday’s edition of “Glee” mirrored last week’s disappointing 2.1 overnight metered market rating.<\/p>\n

Whether the consistency will pass through to the adults 18-49 and total viewership numbers remains to be seen, but it is clear interest in “Glee” did not notably spike for this year’s nationals episode.<\/p>\n

On the plus side, it also appears “Glee” avoided another major tumble this week.<\/p>\n
