In officially crossing the 1 million sales mark in the US, Lorde’s “Pure Heroine” becomes the first female debut since Adele’s “19” to achieve the feat.<\/p>\n
With male and female performers included, it becomes the first debut since Hunter Hayes’ self-titled cut to rise above the million sales bar. Hayes’ album, however, took two years to achieve the feat. Lorde moved a million copies in just five months.<\/p>\n
